Free Power Yoga Classes for Caregivers

 

We understand the physical and mental toll care-giving can take on our bodies and how hard it can be to take a break for yourself. We want to help! 

 

RM+V is offering a new course–care4me yoga–taught by Executive Director and Certified Power Yoga Instructor, Kristin Oeder. This FREE course welcomes everyone who is a caregiver—at home, at work, at RM+V, or in the community!

Course details

The 8-week care4me yoga classes start at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays. Be sure to arrive at 5:00 p.m. for our first class to join our Kickoff Party.

 

  • Class is held in the RM+V Learning Center, located at 174 Virginia Ave., Rochester, PA.
  • Please bring a mat, block, water bottle, and towel.
  • Waivers for all participants must be signed prior to your first class. RM+V will not provide care to the elder participant, only group activities. 
  • RM+V employees: Please make sure you are clocked out. While this is a free service provided by RM+V, participation in the class is a non-paid activity.

Can’t break away from your care-giving duties long enough to take an hour to yourself? Bring your loved one who you are caring for! We will have free group activities planned for them, so you can enjoy yoga without the worry.

 

What is power yoga?

Power Yoga is a great mind/body workout—you can stretch and strengthen your muscles while letting the stress of your day melt away.
