ROCHESTER — Rochester Manor and Villa celebrated National Nursing Home Week with daily activities and events, including a prom for residents and their families Thursday afternoon.
Activities director Stacy Hoydich said this year’s week-long theme was “Bring on the Fiesta,” so dancing and music was a must.
State Sen. Elder Vogel Jr., R-47, New Sewickley Township, crowned the prom queen, Georgene Barto, and prom king, Thomas Shoemaker.
Staff members, as well as volunteers from the community and from the Beaver Area High School National Honor Society also attended and danced with the residents.
